Hoeft, Elsie
(Marriage - 24 Nov. 1956)
Miss Elsie
Hoeft, of Abbotsford, and Herman Fitzlaff, of Little Black, were
united in marriage Saturday, Nov. 24, at the parsonage of St.
Peter’s Lutheran church, Dorchester. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler
performed the double ring ceremony at 12:30
o’clock.
Attending
the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hoeft, Milan, brother and
sister-in-law of the bride.
With her
cinnamon brown suit, the bride wore a winter white hat and brown
pumps. Her corsage was made of red roses and white
chrysanthemums.
Her matron
of honor pinned a corsage of red carnations and white mums to the
shoulder line of her forest green crepe dress.
A 4:00
o’clock supper was served to 25 guests at the home of the
groom’s cousin, Mrs. Fred Woempner, at Abbotsford. Centering
the table was a decorated wedding cake and candles tied with satin
ribbons. Green and white decorations were used in the
home.
Guests came
from Morris and Chicago, Ill.; Milan, Chippewa Falls, Dorchester
and Abbotsford.
In the
evening, two groups of friends came to charivari the bridal
couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoeft are now at home to friends in Little Black.
